Making the most of cashback apps and cards is an easy way to save on money that you are already needing to spend. Cashback apps have offers covering all types of spending - retail, groceries, household bills, insurance policies, family days out.

The most popular cashback methods are mobile cashback apps and websites, my favourites of which are QuidcoCheddarTopCashbackAirtime Rewards, and Everup

An alternate method is to use a cashback credit card or current account for cashback on all spending using that card or account. These two methods can be used simultaneously to maximise savings!

Quidco

Quidco offers a wide range of cashback deals, across all types of popular shops, supermarkets, and household bills

Pros:

  • Has a compare feature where you can see cashback offers for various household bills, such as car insurance, broadband, and mobile deals

  • You can submit a claim form for any missing or unpaid cashback, which Quidco will review on your behalf

  • Have a low minimum balance of £1 to withdraw your saved cash to your bank account

  • You can upgrade to a premium Quidco account for better cashback offers!

Cons:

  • It can take a while for companies to approve your cashback and for it to arrive in your account

  • Not a con, just be aware - online spending must be done through an online browser, not on that retailers' mobile app

Quidco are offering a free £20 reward once you have earned £5 cashback through their offers - sign up here!

Credit Cards and Current Accounts

Using a cashback credit or debit card is a fantastic way to save on your daily spending without spending time searching for cashback offers across a range of cashback pages.

Just switch your usual payment card for a cashback card. Use the card for your everyday purchases such as groceries, bills, travel, and earn a percentage of each transaction back as cash or rewards points.

You can use other cashback apps like the ones above alongside to maximise rewards on your spending.

Make sure to research how credit cards work and the terms and conditions of your chosen card before using it. Ensure that you pay off the balance in full each month to avoid interest charges as these will eat into your savings.
